CENTRAL JUNIOR CYCLING
2018
CJC made quite the showing in 2018.
Sixteen juniors and three adults made appearances in a total of 389 races.
We attended 42 events in 11 states.
Racers participated in Crit races, Cyclocross, Cross-country, Road races and Time Trial events.
Juniors raced in 85 "adult races", that is, races that were limited by your Category ranking, not by age.
In 153 of the 389 races, our racers finished in the top 50% of the field.
We took home 41 1st places, 34 2nd places, and 39 3rd places.
Once we signed up for races, we completed the races 94% of the time. On those that we didn't finish, our racers usually had mechanical issues that kept them from finishing the races. Very seldom did we sign up for races and then decide we didn't even want to start the race.
