LaCrosse Omnium

The best part of these bike trips is the time we get to spend with each other, making friendships that will last a long time.  We camped out near the race venue in La Crosse, WI.  We set up the tents in a circle around the campfire.  There's usually at least one girls tent often several boys tents.  Families get to tent together.  We have games to play like Yard Jenga and Yardtzee.  At this campground we were able to rent a canoe and we spent a little bit of time on the water.  There was a dock near by that the kids were playing on.  When we asked if that was alright with the management, they said, "I supposed.  Kids have never asked to play on it before."  Seeing the interaction between the kids and nature is always fun.  Who is afraid of bugs? Who likes petting frogs?  Who know what type of spider that is?

The bike club has members of all ages, and all age groups play together. They do not care if you are in high school or elementary school.  If you are part of the team, you are a friend.
